For over 12 years, Ram Welding has been performing welding services to the oil and gas industry. Beginning in the Barnett Shale, we primarily offered wellhead, custom fabrication and repair services to Drilling Rigs.
In 2012 we opened our Permian Basin division and continued providing services to drilling rigs and oil field service companies. One of the things we have always stood by is to never stop learning or perfecting our trade.
In 2016, we began specialized alloy welding and were given the opportunity to test with Quality Tubing. We received our certification to weld coil tubing. We’ve been so blessed with opportunities through the years and we will never forget where we came from. Reliability, quality & customer satisfaction is & will always be our top priority. Being in such a demanding field, we constantly see companies lowering their standards or settling for being average.
That’s just not who we are. RAM Welding, Inc will continue to push the standard higher by Always educating ourselves and our welders with the newest technology, techniques & materials to provide our customers the highest quality welding services available.

Due to the high demands of a coil weld, we have found that “off the shelf” filler metals are not viable options to meet the needs of newer coil strings such as Blue Coil, QT 1300, QT 1400, and DC 140. For this reason, we use a nuclear grade wire that demonstrates higher tensile strengths, high yield strengths, and better resistance to H2S and acid. This ensures a flawless weld unachievable by standard filler metals.

If you’ve ever been on a West Texas location, you’d be very aware of just how windy it can be. Wind is a major factor in coil welding. A proper weld cannot be performed under wind conditions in excess of 5mph. The costs associated with shutting down a coil spread can be very expensive. Typically, a welder would spend 2-3 hours setting up tarps or blankets, as well as using 2 coil hands to help block the wind as it constantly changes directions. To solve this, we have had fire-retardant tents made that take the welder less than five minutes to set up with no assistance needed. This saves both time and money while also allowing the welder to have 100% of the wind blocked even in extreme weather conditions.
